The Holy Family at Wolf Lake

THE STORY OF SAINT FRANCIS AND THE WOLF
Perhaps the most famous story of St. Francis is when he tamed the wolf that was terrorizing the people of Gubbio. While Francis was staying in that town he learned of a wolf so ravenous that it was not only killing and eating animals, but people, too. The people took up arms and went after it, but those who encountered the wolf perished at its sharp teeth. Villagers became afraid to leave the city walls.
Francis had pity on the people and decided to go out and meet the wolf. He was desperately warned by the people, but he insisted that God would take care of him. A brave friar and several peasants accompanied Francis outside the city gate. But soon the peasants lost heart and said they would go no farther.
Francis and his companion began to walk on. Suddenly the wolf, jaws agape, charged out of the woods at the couple. Francis made the Sign of the Cross toward it. The power of God caused the wolf to slow down and to close its mouth.
Then Francis called out to the creature: "Come to me, Brother Wolf. In the name of Christ, I order you not to hurt anyone." At that moment the wolf lowered its head and lay down at St. Francis’ feet, meek as a lamb.
St. Francis explained to the wolf that he had been terrorizing the people, killing not only irrational creatures, but humans who are made in the image of God. "Brother Wolf," said Francis, "I want to make peace between you and the people of Gubbio. They will harm you no more and you must no longer harm them. All past crimes are to be forgiven."
The wolf showed its assent by moving its body and nodding its head. Then to the absolute surprise of the gathering crowd, Francis asked the wolf to make a pledge. As St. Francis extended his hand to receive the pledge, so the wolf extended its front paw and placed it into the saint’s hand. Then Francis commanded the wolf to follow him into town to make a peace pact with the townspeople. The wolf meekly followed St. Francis.
By the time they got to the town square, everyone was there to witness the miracle. With the wolf at his side, Francis gave the town a sermon on the wondrous and fearful love of God, calling them to repent from all their sins. Then he offered the townspeople peace, on behalf of the wolf. The townspeople promised in a loud voice to feed the wolf. Then Francis asked the wolf if he would live in peace under those terms. He bowed his head and twisted his body in a way that convinced everyone he accepted the pact. Then once again the wolf placed its paw in Francis’ hand as a sign of the pact. From that day on the people kept the pact they had made. The wolf lived for two years among the townspeople, going from door to door for food. It hurt no one and no one hurt it. Even the dogs did not bark at it. When the wolf finally died of old age, the people of Gubbio were sad. The wolf’s peaceful ways had been a living reminder to them of the wonders, patience, virtues and holiness of St. Francis. It had been a living symbol of the power and providence of the living God."

September 1975, a dream: in a university, a group of students is watching a film about Pope Paul VI, something does not seem quite right. On the screen, we can see Pope Paul VI, but it looks more like an impostor. Behind the screen , is the real Pope Paul VI.A few days later, Mrs. Veronica Lueken sees in an apparition that there are two "popes" in Rome, the real one, and an impostor who has undergone plastic surgery.
Our Lady says: "This is the deception of the century!"

A dream:
A few days previously, I had seen them in a dream. Seated at a big table in the Vatican, about a dozen people are having a meal. J. is conversing with the guests. Father G. invites me to the table: "No, thank you Father, I am not hungry."At some distance, there is a large broken column: I wonder why. Stopping an instant to look at it, I see a big Cross, Jesus is dying, His Eyes are on me, and He is moving almost imperceptibly.

.JUNE 8, 1972 - Forged documents are coming out of Rome. The enemies within Holy Church seek to place the papacy and Pope Paul (VI) in a bad light; to place the blame on him, in an attempt to tear down the papacy and set up an international religion and not of Jesus Christ. Many are accepting as sheep going to the slaughter. They neither pray nor try to patch the cracks. Many are in need of awakening to the truth.

Miracle in the Outaouais
"For a year, Saint Joseph had been talking to me. But I did not want to tell anyone, until he had shown himself more directly. Today, I am talking to you, because he appeared to me.
These are revelations from René Paul, age 63... In 1980, he left Ottawa to live on Montée Bussière, at Wolf Lake, in the Outaouais region of Quebec. There he built himself a house, where he now lives. "I have always invoked Saint Joseph and Saint Paul. I pray to them daily. I always pray Saint Joseph first, and then Saint Paul, my patron," said Mr. Paul, obviously astonished at all the interest journalists were showing in this May 11 apparition of Saint Joseph...René Paul is a very pious person, as he himself told us. In his home, there are two statues of Saint Joseph, one is about four feet tall, and stands in the middle of his kitchen/living room. The other one, about fifteen inches tall, is on the kitchen counter. In front of each statue, René Paul keeps a large candle burning.
The apparition of Saint Joseph would have been on Tuesday, May 11. "I go to bed very early, and I rise very early... I went to the spring to get some water, The current was very strong, and I dropped my pail. A voice told me to look upward. Raising my eyes, I saw Saint Joseph. He asked me to build a meeting place for prayer," explained René Paul as we interviewed him in his home.
After the apparition, Mr. Paul took a closer look at the stone wall holding back the muddy soil at the top of the spring. "I saw footprints", said Mr. Paul, and described Saint Joseph as a "colossus". "He is tall, with a beard and clothes similar to the statue's", Mr. Paul related. He is only awaiting permission from the owner of the property where the spring is situated, to begin building a grotto for people to gather and pray.
He plans to install Saint Joseph's statue in the grotto. "I want to put my big statue of Saint Joseph in the grotto, to have a place where people can gather and really pray"...
The parish priest of Wolf Lake, father Léopold Grimard, saw the footprints above the retaining wall: "They were big footprints, like the ones I saw in Africa"...
Fr. Grimard says that news had been spread to the Hull-Ottawa region by tourists visiting Wolf Lake...
Since the announcement of an imminent apparition of Saint Joseph, many people have come to pray at the spring where Mr. Paul gets his water every day.
These are the facts as we gathered them, personally and by word of mouth. It is up to our readers to interpret them as they wish, according to their personal religious convictions.
We have succeeded in doing our job, in all humility. Future developments are not in our hands.

On Thursday, 20 May, 1982, the daily "Le Droit" also carried a story about the events at Wolf Lake. And in the periodical "La Depeche", September 30, 1982, we found the following article:Saint Joseph appears for a second time to Mr. Rene Paul, on Montee Bussiere, Wolf Lake, August 5. The Wolf Lake Grotto
Witness to Apparitions
.As he does every morning, Mr. Paul went to the grotto to get water and to say his prayers. As he was saying the final decade of his rosary, he heard Saint Joseph's voice, raised his eyes and saw Saint Joseph standing in front of him. He told him that he was "very happy with the work, that he was very pleased that the grotto was built, and with all the decorations made by Mr. Paul and a group of volunteers".
He asked Mr. Paul to build a Sanctuary and a Way of the Cross on the other side of the hill facing the grotto, and said that this request came from his son Jesus; the reason for the request is that mankind all too quickly forgets the love that Jesus has for each one of us. Had He not shown this Love by giving His Life on the Cross for us? People do not pray enough nowadays, there should be more prayer. Then he said to Mr. Paul to go to the hill facing the grotto, where he would find a large stone that he had displaced, because "This is the place where my Son Jesus wants a Sanctuary and a Way of the Cross to be built. I will help you, but you must obey Jesus, and I bless you in the name of Jesus, all of you who believe, and are working to accomplish the work given by Jesus."
According to a few other testimonies, Saint Joseph also appeared to Mrs. Yvonne Mayer, her son Rheal, her grandson Serge, to Miss Lise Cousineau and Mr. Lorenzo Beausoleil, all living in Wolf Lake, and to some of the people who go to the grotto daily to pray. According to Mrs. Mayer, Saint Joseph did not speak as he came from the hill facing the grotto. He appeared in a dazzling light and the apparition kept moving back and forth around the place, where Saint Joseph had asked Mr. Paul to build the Sanctuary and Way of the Cross.
Testimonials of Healing:
Mr. Jean-Guy Grenier's back was healed. Mrs. Monique Grenier was healed: she had suffered from tinnitus for three years. Isabelle Laporte had eczema for 8 months, and was cured. Mrs. Lariviere and Mrs. Lefort were rid of arthritis, asthma and high blood pressure. Mrs. C. Larabie had her bad leg, and her diabetic sores healed, she walked with a cane, and no longer had to use it after having washed her legs with water from the grotto. Mrs. Monette also had a bad leg healed. Mr. Schnob thanks Saint Joseph for a favor granted to him, another anonymous person was cured of cancer, and another had her eyes healed.
We invite people who have been healed to kindly advise us by letter, and I will publish their testimonials in La Depeche.
A petition is being circulated now, asking Mr. Sweibel to concede the land where the Sanctuary and Way of the Cross will be built. Those who have not yet signed and wish to do so are invited to contact me, or sign the book at the grotto. The Municipality of La Peche will be requested to provide adequate parking space for pilgrims, because present conditions are a serious traffic hazard; there have already been several close calls. We hope that the municipality is aware of the problem and will take the necessary measures to avoid accidents and find some parking space.

The Rosary from Jerusalem
On June 13, 1982, Saint Anthony's feast day, we went to mass to receive the plenary indulgence granted in his honor. Father X... (from Saint-Vincent-de-Paul Church, Vanier, Ontario) gave us four rosaries he had just received from Jerusalem.On October 2, we made a pilgrimage to Wolf Lake. A grotto, and a spring! Lourdes in Miniature, less than an hour's drive from home; the atmosphere is very peaceful, we are certainly not disappointed.
Note: (Oct. 2: Day of the vigil of Saint Theresa of the Infant Jesus, and The Holy Guardian Angels -Our Lady of the Roses, Bayside, New York)October is the month dedicated to the Holy Rosary. At the end of the month, I returned to Wolf Lake for a second time, intending to give a rosary from Jerusalem to Mr. Paul.
. On a Sunday, November 14, Mr. Paul took the rosary from Jerusalem with him to the grotto. Our Lady appeared to him, saying: "The rosary you are holding in you hands is from Jerusalem". And Mr. Paul saw a tiny vein appear in the olive-wood cross on the rosary, with blood oozing from it. As he is afraid of blood, he hands it to the parish priest, Father Grimard, who is standing nearby.
"I am happy to give this rosary from Jerusalem to a friend of Saint Joseph"!

J..., whom I had seen in a dream in the Vatican with Jesus dying on the Cross, was present.. The bishop of Wolf Lake showed this rosary to Pope John Paul during his 1984 visit to Canada. The Holy Father is reported to have told the bishop to "Pay very close attention to this rosary"!

" Eve of Ascension of Jesus into Heaven - May 7th, 1975
Veronica was warned through a photograph not to attend the vigil that evening, as there was a plan to have her shot. therefore, she remained at home. Veronica did not go on the shrine grounds however many pilgrims were there to pray. Human wolves were there also, and they howled during the whole Vigil. Their howlings and whistlings are heard on the tape recording. The fervor in the prayers of the pilgrims was much greater.
That night the sky was bright with a pink - colored glow. Jesus appeared in her apartment and gave her the following message:
Jesus - "You must understand, My child, that there is a test for obedience in the plan from Heaven. My Mother is standing as Guardian over Her flowers, My child. As a voice - box for Heaven your obedience is often tested, My child. It is well that you did not disregard the message in photograph given to you this evening.
"You must understand, My child, that We are fully aware of the plan of Satan. We can direct you sometimes in photographs. We ask you to read them and study them well, in the past and the future. We can give you this direction, My child, but you must not act on your own free will, but you will pray and read the photographs. We chose that you remain, for your work must not be finished by violence. You ask, My child, an explanation. This will not be given to you, for there are many things of the plan of the Father that you in your human nature would be unable to understand. Have no fear: My Mother stands as Guardian over Her garden of souls." 750507"And the forces of evil, of antichrists, in your world, my sisters and brothers, are poisoning the minds of many.
